The TCA2 Dual Channel Thermocouple Amplifier (CAN ID – Box B) is a compact, high-precision interface designed to integrate two additional temperature inputs into your vehicle’s CAN network. Perfect for monitoring specific differential temperatures—such as Intercooler Inlet vs. Outlet, or Pre-Turbo vs. Post-Turbo EGT—this unit delivers the same laboratory-grade accuracy as its quad-channel counterparts but in a streamlined package.

Targeted Thermal Intelligence

Designated as “Box B”, this unit is factory-configured to operate on a secondary CAN address. This makes it the ideal expansion module for systems that already utilize a “Box A” amplifier. For example, a user might employ a TCA4 Box A for 4-cylinder EGTs, and add this TCA2 Box B to monitor Oil Temperature and Transmission Temperature, all communicating over the same single CAN bus wire.

The device utilizes high-speed instrumentation amplifiers with built-in Cold Junction Compensation to convert standard Type K thermocouple signals into stable digital data. This digital transmission is immune to the electrical noise found in race car engine bays, ensuring that the temperature displayed on your dash is the exact temperature at the probe tip.
