Full-Chassis Data Backbone for Elite Systems
The Haltech Elite CAN Cable (3600mm / 144″) is an ultra-long-range interconnect designed for full-vehicle networking. With a length of 3.6 meters (12 feet), this cable is engineered to span the entire length of a vehicle chassis, connecting a front-mounted ECU to rear-mounted peripherals such as Power Distribution Modules (PDMs), rear-mounted Wideband Controllers, or trunk-mounted Data Loggers.
Signal Integrity Over Long Distances
Running high-speed digital data over 12 feet of cable in a noisy automotive environment requires superior cable construction. This harness features twisted-pair architecture specifically matched to the impedance of the CAN bus protocol. This design ensures that the differential signal remains distinct and readable, even after traveling the length of the car alongside fuel pumps and battery cables. The shielding drains electromagnetic interference (EMI) to ground, preventing data packet corruption that could lead to sensor lag or device drop-outs.
The DTM-4 connectors are sealed and locking, ensuring that the connection remains secure despite the chassis flex and vibration inherent in motorsport applications.
