Modernize Your Classic LS: Gen III LS1/LS6 DBW Retrofit Harness
The Haltech Elite 2500 DBW Retrofit Harness is a unique engineering solution designed to bring modern Drive-By-Wire technology to the classic GM Gen III LS1 and LS6 engines. Originally, most Gen III engines utilized mechanical cable throttles. This harness allows you to retrofit a Gen IV-style electronic throttle body (DBW) onto your Gen III engine, unlocking advanced features like cruise control, traction control, and idle management without an IAC valve. The harness retains the standard Bosch EV1 injector connectors, maintaining compatibility with the vast majority of factory and aftermarket injectors available for the LS1/LS6 platform.
The Best of Both Worlds
This harness is wired for the Gen III specific 24x crank sensor and 1x rear-mounted cam sensor but includes the wiring and connectors necessary for a DBW pedal and throttle body. This makes it the ultimate solution for resto-mod builds where a clean engine bay (no throttle cable) and modern drivability are desired. The harness is fully terminated and includes a fuse/relay block, making the electrical installation straightforward. It connects to the factory coil sub-harnesses and is compatible with manual transmissions.
