Overview
Radium Engineering AOS-R Kit for Scion, Subaru, and Toyota (2012-2021)
If you’re driving a modified 4U-GSE or FA20A engine, you might have noticed that these high-powered beasts can produce quite a bit of blow-by oil and gases. Using a standard small catch can just won’t cut it in these situations. That’s where the Radium Engineering AOS (Air Oil Separator) Kit steps in! This innovative kit is designed to keep your intake pipe, manifold, turbocharger, and intercooler free from unwanted blow-by oil and pollutants, no matter how hard you’re pushing your engine.
How Does the AOS Work?
The magic of the AOS lies in its ability to return collected oil back into the oil pan, eliminating the need for regular servicing. Plus, it features a built-in heater that prevents water from condensing in the AOS. Since water is denser than oil, there’s a clever water trap located around the bottom perimeter of the can. This design ensures that any water present doesn’t end up in your oil pan. Instead, it gets trapped against the heater, where it eventually boils away, keeping your system clean and efficient.
Durable and Well-Designed
The AOS is crafted from three CNC machined sections that screw together and are sealed with O-rings, ensuring a robust and reliable setup.
Dimensions:
- AOS Height: 6.3″ (without fittings)
- AOS Diameter: 3.45″ Round
- AOS Capacity: 20.3 oz (600mL)
Benefits of the AOS-R Kit:
- Boosts octane levels and enhances engine performance with cleaner inlet air.
- Prevents oil buildup in your intake, intercooler system walls, throttle body, and intake manifold.
- Reduces hydrocarbon emissions, making your ride more eco-friendly.
What’s Included:
- Machined aluminum Radium Air Oil Separator
- Specially designed mounting bracket
- SAE J30R7 rated PCV/Emissions hose
- Coolant heater hoses and fittings
- All necessary aluminum fittings and hose-ends
- Stainless steel mounting hardware
Fitment:
- Scion FR-S (2012-2016)
- Subaru BRZ (2012-2020)
- Toyota 86 (2012-2021)
Note: If you’re operating in freezing conditions, Radium Engineering suggests using insulation sleeving (not included) over any hose exposed to cold air flow. This will help prevent the natural occurrence of water condensation freezing and potentially clogging the hose.
For RHD vehicles: Our Universal AOS must be used for custom mounting and plumbing.
