The GR Corolla has become one of the most popular hot hatches on the market, especial among track enthusiasts. Its 1.6L three-cylinder turbo motor shared with the GR Yaris is an engineering marvel and offers plenty of room for growth. Pairing that with the all-wheel-drive system, great suspension, and stiff chassis, you have a near perfect track machine. After the massive success of the CSF x Jackson Racing High-Performance Stepped Core Intercoolers (CSF #8285/8285B), CSF has received a lot of requests for a performance radiator. With more owners turning the power up and pushing the GR Corolla & GR Yaris harder, the factory systems struggle to keep up. CSF is well known for making the best Toyota cooling systems in the world. With years of feedback from Customers, Race Teams, and Development Partners, CSF has the more experience with Toyota cooling systems than any other company in the world. With more and more people pushing the limits of the GR Corolla/GR Yaris, the factory radiator has started showing its limitations. Bigger turbos cranking out more power create a lot more heat that needs to be dissipated. Furthermore, the intercooler is mounted directly in front of the radiator, so all the heat shed by that system runs through it. In racing applications this can be detrimental to engine coolant temperatures and risk sending your GR Corolla/GR Yaris into limp mode.
The original OE radiator from Toyota is a plastic tank with a single row aluminum core design. While this is generally accepted as good quality and durable, there is always room for improvement. The 5mm fins on the OE radiator made the system fairly efficient for a factory unit. The core itself is one of the biggest limiting factors at only 27mm thick and a single cooling row.
With data collected by development partners and race teams, CSF was able to design the ideal High-Performance replacement. The CSF radiator features the latest 5mm fin technology. These fins significantly increase the heat exchange surface area improving overall cooling efficiency and recovery while still maintaining good airflow. The core is much larger than the factory featuring 2-Row 42mm aluminum core. This both increases the fluid capacity of the radiator, and improves the cores ability to dissipate heat. CSF’s Exclusive B-Tube Technology increases the heat transfer by approximately 15% over regular oval welded tubes. In addition, the super-efficient multi-louvered fins maximize airflow through the core for the best possible performance. The TIG-Welded 100% All Aluminum construction increases the overall strength of the radiator. This improves durability and longevity so you can be confident it will hold up to hard driving conditions. The right side tank includes a pre-plugged 1/8th NPT temperature sensor port for those looking for more accurate coolant temperature readings. Pre-installed foam strips on top and bottom end plates improve sealing for better airflow over the radiator. The CSF radiator mounts in the factory location and requires no modifications or cutting.
The CSF x Jackson Racing Intercooler and some other aftermarket intercoolers utilize piping/hoses that are larger in diameter than the factory units. These larger intercooler pipes may have clearance issues with other aftermarket radiators. CSF carefully designed the end tanks on the #7233 with additional clearance for the CSF x Jackson Racing Intercooler while maintaining optimal volume and flow.
The engineering team at CSF spent extra time developing a radiator that could fit both the GR Corolla and GR Yaris. The factory radiator are very similar, but not interchangeable. This cross compatibility is a huge advantage for Dealers and Distributors as they only have to stock one part for both applications.

Warranty
CSF takes pride in the quality of its products and offers one of the best warranty’s in the industry. Please refer to the CSF warranty card in the shipping carton for details.
CSF warranty is applicable only to the original owner of the vehicle. Original paper work verifying the proof of purchase and pre-installation cooling system checklist signed by the professional installer is required to process warranty claims.
All warranty claims should be directed to the point of purchase. Due to CSF’s established agreements with Authorized CSF Warehouse Distributors, CSF is unable to handle and/or process warranty related calls/inquires from any individuals – all inquires/warranty related claims should be directed to the point of purchase or an authorized warehouse distributor.
Take care of your radiator, as under circumstances listed below the warranty will be void.
If the radiator is installed and is returned deformed (bulging tanks, warped core etc.), this is an indication that the radiator is the victim of some other problem and not the cause. The deformation is a result of the radiator being subjected to extremely high pressure and or temperature caused by any of the following reasons:Defective Pressure Cap, Defective Head Gasket, Defective Temperature gauge (incorrect readings), Defective Water Pump etc. Such units are not covered under the warranty.
If a radiator seems to have a “fit problem†there is the possibility that there is some confusion about a multi-fit radiator that might look different. Your nearest CSF WD can clarify the application, just give them a call. A perceived fit problem is not covered under warranty.
If a unit is damaged in shipping, please file a claim with the carrier. Damages caused during shipping, installation or handling are not covered under warranty.
Any repairs or alterations to the unit will automatically void the warranty.
Any form of abuse, including the use of improper coolant mixtures, damage caused by steam, corrosion etc and use on commercial vehicles voids the warranty. It is the vehicle owners’ responsibility to maintain the cooling system as specified in the owners manual.
