The Haltech HC5 Hydraulic Crimper is a 5-ton precision instrument designed to effortlessly crimp heavy-gauge battery lugs and terminals ranging from 12 AWG up to 00 AWG (2/0). In a high-performance vehicle, the starter motor, alternator, and main battery grounds carry hundreds of amps. A weak crimp in these cables creates significant resistance, leading to slow cranking, hot cables, and potential fire hazards. The HC5 uses hydraulic pressure to cold-flow the copper lug and wire into a single solid mass, ensuring near-zero resistance and maximum current transfer.

The HC5 comes as a complete kit in a molded carry case, ensuring your dies are always organized and protected. It includes 8 sets of hexagon dies covering sizes from 4mm² to 70mm². The hydraulic mechanism enables one-handed operation to position the crimp, followed by the application of massive force with minimal physical effort.
