The Haltech Platinum PRO Plug-in ECU is a direct replacement engine management solution for the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 9 and JDM Evo 8 MR (6-speed). Unlike adaptor harnesses, this ECU plugs directly into the factory wiring header, replacing the OEM computer entirely. It is pre-configured to control the complex MIVEC variable valve timing system, ensuring optimal torque and spool-up. While it connects directly to the factory harness, it requires an external CAN I/O 12 Expander Box to accept a Flex Fuel sensor input, enabling E85 tuning capabilities.
