Overview

The Nissan / Infiniti 3.5 and 3.7 liter engines run hot. In high performance conditions, the 3.7 can go into a reduced power mode due to overheating oil. An oil temperature reduction of 30 to 40 degrees Fahrenheit can be realized with the installation of our specially designed Oil Cooler Kits, ending the oil overheating condition. These Oil Cooler Kits allow hot oil to be circulated and cooled outside of the motor through a high efficiency cooler. An absolute must for forced induction or track use. Greater performance and thousands of miles of engine life will be added by keeping a “cool” coating of oil on high-wear engine components such as piston rings, piston skirts, cam bearings, and rod bearings. The Oil Cooler Kit is complete and includes all the necessary adapters, fittings, and hoses you will need for installation. This will require the drilling of mounting holes to install this kit. Instructions are included. Stainless steel oil lines are built to our specifications by Goodridge, the leader in motorsports for high performance braided lines, and used in most of our Oil Cooler Kit applications. Stillen offers 2 options for oil cooler cores: Stillen Setrab Series Oil Cooler Swedish-made Setrab oil cooler cores are renown by top racing teams around the world for their excellent cooling abilities, as well as use on OEM vehicles such as Aston-Martin, Ferrari, Jaguar, Audi RS, AMG Mercedes, Lamborghini, etc. Setrab have been used in virtually all of Stillen coolers for years with excellent results. Oil Cooler CoresStillen Gold Series Oil Cooler Weve had an oil cooler core built to our exacting specifications, and is a very economical choice compared to the brand name Setrab core kits. Weve tested the units side by side, and performance of oil cooling is identical. Gold series cores also have integrated fittings, which eliminates the possibility of cross threading the fitting to the cooler core. All other hardware, Goodridge stainless lines, thermostatic plate, etc. remains the same. In the case of the Nissan Titan, Stillen also offers a large filter and adaptor kit for some vehicles that adds 2 1/2 quarts of oil capacity. It is an option that works in conjunction with the Stillen oil cooler kit. It cannot be used without the oil cooler. Kit includes adapter and oil filter. These filters are readily available at any auto store from all filter manufacturers. NOTES / EXCLUSIONS: Oil Cooler Kit cannot be mounted on a 350Z with a long and low aftermarket cold air intake system due to interference issues. These kits will not fit Nismo 370Z models without custom modifications (instructions not provided for Nismo models).**IMPORTANT!: All Oil Cooler Kits that have Thermostatic Plates MUST use Fram Oil Filter #PH3950 or equivalent to insure proper seal!

WARRANTY INFORMATION:

Exhaust:

Proof of purchase, MUST be presented to the service outlet from which you originally purchased the exhaust product, or any participating dealer, when making a claim for replacement. The original exhaust product must also be returned and exchanged for a new exhaust product of the same part number. SMSP acknowledges that parts may be discontinued. If the exhaust product has been discontinued, SMSP may not be able to offer a replacement option.

No other warranty, expressed or implied (including merchantability), applies to the exhaust product, nor is any person or the manufacturer authorized to assume any other warranty. The manufacturer does not assume any responsibility for any consequential damages occurred by the exhaust product, or inconvenience or interruption in any operation.

This warranty does not extend to cosmetic blemishes and/or finish deterioration. Stainless steel does require cleaning and maintenance to retain its finish. Failure to do so can result in surface corrosion which is not covered by warranty.

SMSP does not warranty other companies and/or manufacturers product and/or work. If the installer of the product fails to follow SMSP instructions or causes damage to the vehicle during the installation of this product this must be resolved between the customer and the shop performing the work.

Intakes:

This warranty does not apply to any air intake product which has been installed on any commercial or racing vehicle or which has been improperly installed, altered, or subjected to misuse or damage from accidents. Also, cost of labor and any additional parts required to complete installation of a replacement product are not covered by this warranty.

No other warranty, expressed or implied (including merchantability), applies to the Poly-Urethane product, nor is any person or the manufacturer authorized to assume any other warranty. The manufacturer does not assume any responsibility for any consequential damages occurred by the Poly-Urethane product, or inconvenience or interruption in any operation.

This warranty does not extend to finish deterioration. SMSP Poly-Urethane products must be stored in a cool, dry environment, out of direct sunlight when not installed on the vehicle. Improper storage can lead to material warping, discoloration, and other results. SMSP does not guarantee that these finishes will not deteriorate with age and this deterioration may be accelerated with neglect and misuse.

SMSP is not responsible for costs incurred due to the customer or body shops failure to test fit and/or inspect product prior to painting. SMSP Brake Rotors are finished with a corrosion resistant plating material. This material is removed by the friction between the rotor and pad. During the time the plating is being removed the customer may feel and/or hear â€œunusualâ€ noises. In most cases this is the plating material being removed and is to be considered normal. We can not give a timeline as to how long this will take to remove as there are many variables including but not limited to; driving style, driving type (highway vs. city), regularity of vehicle use, etc. If the unusual characteristics persist past the point the plating has been removed please consult SMSP for further guidance.

Warranty Addendums:

Damages caused by improper use, installation, modifications and/or collisions will be considered user-error and will NOT be covered under warranty.
User assumes all risks and costs associated with the use of SMSP products.
Products purchased from un-authorized dealers will not be covered under warranty.
Warranties only cover the initial purchaser and will not transfer to second hand users.
Failure to provide the required invoice, images and/or warranty claim form will result in the denial of the warranty claim. NO EXCEPTIONS.
SMSP is not responsible for fees associated with the installation/removal/servicing of components.
