VR Tuned offers ECU tuning for all F Series BMW vehicles. This includes the new F32 BMW 435I and F30 335I with the N55 turbocharged engine. The inline 6 cylinder engine has tons of room for more horsepower and torque. ECU tuning is done to give you better drivability, more horsepower and torque, improved throttle response, and other features.
Crank Horsepower Ratings:
- Stock Power: 306hp | 296ft/lbs
- Tuned Power: 388hp | 411ft/lbs
ECU Flash Options:
- Vmax Off – This is an increase or reduction of the maximum speed limit.
- Race Exhaust – This option is for those running full race exhaust systems.
- Pops & Bangs – Pops and bangs (burble tune) is the result of an ignition delay which creates an exhaust detonation when the throttle pedal is released. Caution, this process must only be used on vehicles with a full race exhaust. This may affect long term engine reliability.
- Cold Start Off – Disables the cold start system.
- Sport Display – This option allows sport display adaptation to show the higher HP and TQ figures from the tune.
- DTC OFF – This option is to delete Trouble Code (DTC) related to the engine. You provide us the code.
- Some options are not available for different software version of the vehicle. We cannot know this until the factory ECU read is uploaded. If a feature is not available that is extra, we will refund you that amount. We do guarantee to provide you with the best possible performance tune.

How to Flash Your ECU?
- Use the DimSport handheld device. This REQUIRES a Windows PC for initial setup. You can flash between the stock and tuned at anytime. This device can store multiple files. See Instructions Here.
- We can bench flash the ECU. To bench flash the ECU, you must remove it from your vehicle and send it to us. Once we receive the ECU, we will read out the original file and back it up. Then prepare the new tuned file and write it back to the ECU. The ECU will be returned to you via the shipping method you selected at checkout.
- Bring your vehicle to our facility where we can use our Master Tool to flash your vehicle via the OBDII port. If you require flashing your vehicle back to stock in the future, you will need to purchase a OBDII tool if available.

Product Notes:
- Stock power numbers are converted from units of PS and NM to HP and FT/LBS. This may result in ratings being slight different than a manufactures rating (its ok we tune off your software read).
- All ECU Tuning must be used within 6 months of purchase date.
- General ECU support is available for 30 days following the files being sent to you.
- Additional features, mod changes, or OEM software updates are charged a $350 file fee.
- Bolt-on upgrades do not include: turbos, superchargers, fuel components such as injectors, fuel pumps, engine internals.
- Once a OBDII device has been locked to your vehicle and/or you have been sent files, there are no refunds on software.
- We DO NOT force ready status in tuning. We provide you with the true original file to flash back to stock if/when needed (Mail-in customers must send their ECU to be flashed back to stock). If you install other parts on the vehicle that cause check engine lights when the car is flashed back to stock, you will need to address those mechanical parts to meet your local or state requirements.

VR Tuned (VRTuned.com) is the offshoot of globally known, high-performance retail parts specialists, Vivid Racing. VR Tuned products include everything you need from booster pedals, ECU flashes, and gearbox tuning to tuning accessories and complete tuning box kits.
Having had success in popular tuning chassis’ such as the Subaru WRX STI, Mitsubishi EVO, and BMW M3, this was a natural progression of expansion in VR’s repertoire of vehicles. As the tuning market boomed extensively in the early 2000s, Vivid Racing established a very strong presence online and throughout vehicle communities. When the recession came, Vivid Racing continued to grow and focus on the development of its products, distribution network, and most importantly, its customers. The diversity of vehicle products and services has allowed Vivid Racing to continue to strive for excellence while maintaining exceptional growth.
ECU tuning has always been an extremely important part of modifying and building vehicles. This is essentially the glue that brings the performance out of aftermarket products and packages to truly take vehicles to the next level. With this next stage in the company’s footprint, VR Tuned was proudly launched in January 2014 and continues to grow to this day.

It’s important to note that we do not lock, “pot”, or keep control of your ECU. If you decide to take it to another tuner for an upgrade, all flashing ability is retained.

All software sales are final and non-refundable after 30 days. Vivid Racing provides unique software
calibrations for specific vehicle applications and is not liable for misuse or vehicle behavior due to installation error or mechanical issues. Vivid Racing will provide support for individuals, including remote diagnosis to determine next steps as we see fit. End-users are responsible for vehicle maintenance and integrity of any OEM or aftermarket parts installation. Software purchased by Vivid Racing is guaranteed to function as intended on the exact application it is provided for. Please Note this excludes and does not guarantee specific horsepower or TQ figures.
Vivid Racing will provide lifetime support to users that purchased directly from Vivid Racing or an authorized dealer.
Hardware:
- Tuning Boxes – Vivid Racing offers a 5 year limited warranty on manufacturer defects on all Tuning Boxes under the VRTuned brand.
- Flash Loaders and Tools – Vivid Racing offers a 1 year limited warranty on manufacturer defects on all Flash Loaders and Tools.
- Damages or issues found that are not directly caused by a manufacturing defect are not covered under any warranty offered by Vivid Racing.
Vivid Racing reserves the right to refuse warranty coverage for the following reasons.

- Misuse
- Water Damage
- Acts of Nature
- Personal Opinion
Please note: In order for any claim to be submitted, proof of professional installation or its attempt must be provided. All Warranty claims must be submitted for review. If approved, an RMA number will be provided which MUST be included in the packaging. If not included your returned product will be refused. All return shipping costs to and from Vivid Racing are the responsibility of the customer or distributor initiating the warranty claim. If the product is determined to be covered under warranty Vivid Racing will repair the product within original spec, offer a replacement, or refund if needed to the original purchaser. Our warranty does not cover any labor, services, or related products to our product.
