The Elite 550 ECU is Haltech’s entry-level engine management system, offering a potent combination of features and value in a waterproof, single-connector package. Designed for basic 4-cylinder or 2-rotor engines, this unit provides full sequential fuel injection and direct fire ignition control capabilities (up to 4 channels). It is the ideal replacement unit for damaged ECUs or for integrators who already possess the necessary wiring components.

Engineering for Simplicity and Power

Despite its entry-level positioning, the Elite 550 shares the same advanced NSP software architecture as the high-end Elite 2500. It features an internal 4-bar MAP sensor, capable of reading up to 45psi of boost, making it perfect for turbocharged applications. The ECU supports flex-fuel, allowing for seamless transition between pump gas and E85. Its robust, IP67-rated case ensures reliability in harsh environments, from off-road buggies to marine applications.

Operational Benefits

This unit provides essential engine protection features, closed-loop O2 control, and basic boost control. It communicates via CAN bus, allowing integration with Haltech dashes and wideband controllers.
