The Bosch Electronic Throttle Body (ETB) Connector Kit is the dedicated termination solution for Bosch’s range of high-performance DBW throttle bodies (60mm, 68mm, 74mm, and 82mm). In a Drive-By-Wire system, the throttle body is no longer just a mechanical valve; it is a complex actuator containing a high-torque electric motor and dual precision position sensors. This 6-pin connector handles both the high-current Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) signals driving the motor and the sensitive 0-5V analog signals returning throttle position data. Using a generic or reused connector on such a critical component is a recipe for disaster. This kit provides the OE-correct housing, terminals, and seals to ensure a vibration-proof, weather-tight connection that withstands the extreme heat and chemical exposure of an engine bay.

Preventing DBW Failures

Intermittent connections at the throttle body are a leading cause of limp home mode activation. If the ECU detects even a momentary loss of correlation between the two position sensors due to pin fretting or vibration, it will shut down the throttle for safety. This connector kit features terminals with optimized spring tension and plating designed to maintain continuity under high-frequency engine vibration (typical of solid engine mounts). It is the only recommended way to wire a new Bosch throttle body into a custom harness for Haltech Elite or Nexus installations.
