Elite Integration: Adaptor Harness for NA Miata
The Elite 1000/1500 Plug’n’Play Adaptor Harness allows for the installation of Haltech’s mid-tier ECUs into the Mazda MX-5 NA chassis (1990-1995). This harness bridges the factory wiring to the Elite 1000 or 1500, offering greater I/O capacity and features than the Elite 750. It is the preferred choice for builds requiring advanced features like drive-by-wire (with retrofit), multiple CAN devices, or extensive data logging.
Engineering for Advanced Builds
This harness is wired to support the full capabilities of the Elite 1500, including sequential injection and direct fire ignition for the BP engine. It correctly routes the factory CAS signals and supports the idle control valve. The harness includes an auxiliary I/O connector for adding sensors such as fuel pressure, oil pressure, or ethanol content directly to the ECU. It facilitates the conversion to Speed Density tuning with the included air temperature sensor.
Operational Benefits
With this adaptor, users can leverage the Elite 1500’s advanced features, including traction control, launch control, and 4D tuning maps. The installation is reversible and non-destructive. The harness ensures reliable connection for both street and track use, maintaining factory dashboard functionality.
