At 16 feet (5 meters) in length, this harness eliminates the need for unreliable butt-splices and extensions when wiring a drag car, off-road trophy truck, or a large boat. It connects directly to the Nexus R5’s five main connectors and provides color-coded, labeled wires for every input and output available on the unit.

Engineering Deep-Dive: Handling Voltage Drop Over Distance

Running wires over long distances introduces resistance, which causes voltage drop. This is particularly critical for the Nexus R5’s High Current Outputs (HCOs) which drive fuel pumps and fans. Haltech has engineered this harness with appropriately sized conductors to ensure that even at 5 meters, the power delivery remains stable and within tolerance. The High Current Outputs (2 to 12) and Extra High Current Outputs (1 to 4) are specifically run at the full 5-meter length to support remote-mounted components.
