The O2 Sensor Weld-on Bung (6061 Aluminium) is a critical fabrication component for high-performance vehicles utilizing aluminium exhaust systems. While most exhaust systems are steel, lightweight racing applications often utilize aluminium for tailpipes or specialized intercooler piping where sensors need to be mounted. Welding a standard steel bung to aluminium is metallurgically impossible; thus, this 6061 alloy bung is the required solution.

Machined from high-grade 6061-T6 Aluminium, this bung offers excellent weldability and corrosion resistance. It features a standard M18 x 1.5 thread pitch, compatible with almost all standard wideband and narrowband oxygen sensors (Bosch LSU 4.9, NTK, etc.). The bung is designed with a stepped lip to seat perfectly into a drilled hole in the tubing, simplifying the welding process and ensuring a flush, professional finish.
