Haltech Platinum ECU Rail Mounts: Secure Electronics Integration

Electronics hate vibration. The Haltech Platinum ECU Rail-Type Mounts are designed to securely fasten your Haltech Platinum series ECU to the vehicle chassis while providing vibration isolation. Unlike Velcro or zip-ties, which can loosen over time or trap heat, these extruded aluminium rail mounts utilize the ECU’s integrated case channel for a mechanical lock that is both rigid and serviceable. Proper mounting is crucial for preventing solder-joint fatigue on the ECU’s internal PCB, especially in stiffly-sprung race cars.

Engineering: Rail Slide System

The Platinum series ECUs feature a unique silver extruded aluminum case. These mounts are designed to slide into the side channels of the extrusion, allowing for infinite adjustability along the length of the case. This means you can line up the mounting holes with existing chassis features or custom brackets easily. The mounts lift the ECU slightly off the mounting surface, creating an air gap that aids in convective cooling, ensuring the ECU stays within its thermal operating limits.
