Who is RaceChip?

RaceChip started in 2008, when founder Manuel Götz wanted to take his passion for automobiles to the next level. They initially operated and sold their tuning products within Europe, but in 2010 they expanding their dealer network to offer their products globally.

Bluetooth Connectivity

Unlike most tuning solutions, RaceChip tuning boxes allow you to connect your smartphone to the tuning box to make changes. Straight out of the box you’re able to switch between three performance levels: Efficiency, Sport, and Race. If you need a customized tuning file, RaceChip can provide a modified tuning file which you can install on the tuning box.

Tuning Box vs ECU Tuning

What makes RaceChip special compared to many other tuning companies is the type of products they offer. Many tuning companies offer ECU flashes AND tuning boxes, but RaceChip offers just tuning boxes.

A “tuning box” works by capturing sensor outputs such as MAF, Oxygen Sensors, TPS, Ignition, etc, and modifying the signal before the vehicle’s ECU receives the signal. With this type of system, your OEM ECU is left completely stock.

Unlike many tuning boxes on the market, RaceChip tuning boxes are intelligent. They work more like small computers and modify sensor signals in real time, compared to traditional tuning boxes which don’t modify the signals in real time.

Compared to ECU flashing, installing a tuning box is very easy and does not require overwriting your OEM ECU with a new file. With a “plug and play” design, it’s easy to uninstall a tuning box without a trace of it ever being installed on the vehicle.

Warranty

The RaceChip Engine Warranty

As a chip tuning manufacturer with the highest quality standards for the products we develop, it goes without saying that we offer our own engine warranty for our chip tuning modules.

Our 2-year engine warranty is included with the GTS and the GTS Black; our 1-year warranty comes with the RS.

Here our engine warranty covers all relevant engine components, such as central transmission components, piston, crankshaft, engine block, valve, cylinder head, camshaft and turbocharger.

As our customer, you can benefit from this engine warranty for your vehicle up to a mileage of 100,000 km and a vehicle age of up to 5 years. To take advantage of this, your privately-used car must be registered in one of the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden or Switzerland.

In the event that our products cause any damage, the RaceChip engine warranty will pay for the required repairs to the engine components. The coverage is up to 10,000 EUR and you are not required to pay a deductible.

The RaceChip Product Warranty

At RaceChip, we develop and manufacture our products according to the highest quality standards. Every product undergoes extensive testing before it is delivered to our customers. From the development to the production, everything is Made in Germany.

For this reason, those who purchase our model RS enjoy a 3-year product warranty and those who purchase our models GTS and GTS Black a 5-year product warranty. This is considerably longer than the statutory warranty period and the warranty itself is significantly more extensive than the legally required minimum.

Our product warranty covers all essential components of our chip tuning products, the circuit board and electronics, the plug-in module of the circuit board, the cable harness as well as the housing and gasket.

If unexpected damage should occur to one of the components of our modules, we will repair it immediately or alternatively supply you with a new module to replace the old one. Our top priority is to make sure you are able to enjoy again the RaceChip performance boost to its fullest extent, as quickly as possible.
