Modified for Extreme Performance

The NTK LZA08-H5 Wideband O2 Sensor is the preferred sensor for high-horsepower, race-fuel applications. While Bosch sensors are excellent for general use, the NTK architecture is renowned for its resilience in rich-running methanol and race gas environments. This specific unit has been modified by Haltech to include a custom thin-walled spring steel radial shroud at the sensor tip.

Engineering for Longevity

The added radial shroud modifies the exhaust gas flow over the sensing element. This design change reduces the risk of thermal shock from condensation droplets (a common killer of sensors on cold starts with ethanol/methanol) and reduces the velocity of particulate matter hitting the element. This results in significantly improved sensor longevity and accuracy stability under extreme conditions.
