This moulded panel provides a contoured, textured surround that integrates the flat screen of the iC-7 into the 3D curves of a vehicle interior, protecting the screen and enhancing the cockpit’s aesthetic.

Engineering Deep-Dive: Material Science & Fabrication

This panel is manufactured from high-grade, UV Stabilised ABS Plastic. This material choice is critical for automotive interiors, as it must withstand the extreme heat cycles of a closed cabin in summer (often exceeding 60°C/140°F) without warping, cracking, or off-gassing. The UV stabilization ensures that the black finish does not turn grey or chalky after prolonged exposure to sunlight. The panel is moulded with a consistent textured finish that mimics the grain found on many high-end dashboard trims, allowing it to blend in visually. Structurally, the ABS is tough enough to support the weight of the dash and resist vibration, yet soft enough to be cut and trimmed by the installer to fit the specific contours of their vehicle’s dash pad or center console.
