Designed for top-tier motorsport applications, the Nexus R5 simplifies vehicle wiring while providing unprecedented control over every aspect of the drivetrain and chassis.
Engineering Deep-Dive: Integrated Power and Logic
The R5 features 4 x 25A High Current Outputs (HCOs) capable of PWM control, allowing direct drive of fuel pumps (for speed control), thermo-fans (for soft start), and trans-brakes. This eliminates the need for solid-state relays or fuse boxes for these high-load devices. It also includes 12 x 8A High Side Outputs for powering sensors, injectors, and solenoids. The VCU supports 18 injector drivers and 12 ignition outputs, capable of running a V12 sequentially or complex multi-stage injection on drag cars. Dual onboard wideband controllers support both NTK and LSU4.9 sensors.
